Dear friends The final mix and mastering are now done, thanks to a great deal of work done by Jakob Nielsen and Daniel Borzeskowski. We’ve just uploaded the three new songs to our MySpace and are all really pleased with the way it all turned out.
The songs are to be released on a 7-inch record shortly - in a month or so - through the Copenhagen based label Red Tape.
We’re really exited about this and can’t wait to (hopefully) bring it with us on tour in September.
A huge thank you! goes out to Toke, Patrick and everyone at Red Tape for being so sharp in responding on all our sudden requests.

Apart from that, we’ve also just recorded a video for one of the new tracks, working with, or under the harsh dictatorship of director Jeanette Nordahl. It still needs editing and will be out as soon as possible.
– but more on that later.
We’re still looking around for a label to release the 7-inch outside of Denmark, so feel free to get it touch!!

Hey there! We want to thank everyone who was involved in the May tour. We met a lot of old friends (and gained some new ones around Poland and Germany).
We had a lot nice people around us all the time, and it means a lot to us.
We played some really cool shows, and we're really blown away be the positive responses we got.
This experience gave us some great energy to work with up to the big tour in September and just being Obstacles in general.
We want to give a special "thank you" to CRK in Wroclaw, Poland and the people there who use a lot of time and energy in making it a very inspirering place to visit. We hope we can come back sometime soon!
Also a very special "thank you" to Rob, Stephan, Timo and Mark of syn*error. We had a really nice time hanging out with you, and we are very thankful of your hospitality.
We are looking forward to (hopefully) see you in Berlin on the next tour!

We have now finished the recording of the 7".
The songs are about to be mixed by our good friend Jacob Nielsen. And then mastered for vinyl.
We are really pleased with the results so far, and can't wait to hear the final mix.
We are still looking for a label to put out this beauty.

First of all: Thanks to everyone who showed up and supported us at The Rock on February 26th. It was nice to try out some of the new songs on this weird, but fun evening.
Some great news:
We are really happy to announce that we are now working with the amazing uts,m! artist booking. We would like to thank Björn at uts,m! for his kindness and overwhelming energy. Björn, we are really looking forward to work with you!
So, the plan is that uts,m! will be booking a european tour for us in September/October. More info on this will follow!

We would like to announce that we are no longer working with Kolleqt Booking...

First of all, the February tour around europe has been cancelled.
We are very sorry and disappointed that we had to cancel the tour, but we had some trouble with getting all the pieces to fit.
We are currently trying to book a new euro tour to take place in the start of May. We hope to get some shows in the places we were supposed visit during the February tour to make up for the damage. If you want to help us out by setting up a show in your town or lead us to someone who would be interested in doing so, it would indeed be highly appreciated! Let us know!
Just write us at theobtacles@yahoo.dk or leave us a message on Myspace. We know it's in a short notice, but we are counting our lucky stars, and are believing that this is possible! When we know some more about the booking of the tour we will let you know.
Right now, we are working on some new material in the sweaty second home, and getting ready to record the 7".
We are still searching for a label to put this out.
We are really excited about this 7" and the whole idea and meaning behind the songs (more info on that will follow!)
We have a couple of shows in Copenhagen in the near future:
Feb 26th @ The Rock with Kellermensch. The entrance is free, so show up with all your friends, foes etc. and let's have a good time! May 22th @ Lades Kælder with Antlers and Brainworms. We hope to see you at these two shows, and hopefully around europe in the near future!

We have finished writing the material for the 7" and are now working on some prerecordings.
The whole process has been a bit delayed as we have also played a show in Copenhagen with plök and adebisi shank.
We are hoping to find a label to release the 7" early next year.
So if you are a label, and interested in working with us, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Welcome to our new homepage.

We have been signed on kolleqt booking and are happy to start working with Tobi. We are planning a tour in february, and by then we will hopefully have a lot of new material.
Right now we are working on three new songs for a 7" planned to be recorded during the next month. We have also finished this site, and have uploaded some new photos and videos. In the release section we have made three of the songs from our EP available for download.
There will soon be a merchandise section on the page, where you will be able to buy our EP and T-shirts.
